While the country moves to internet and mobile applications, All India Radio (AIR) seems to be going the other way.
In the last couple of days, the Indian state owned behemoth has made two announcements that has triggered a cynical snigger among the Indian elite.
Firstly AIR is launching an SMS based news service. This service will allow the subscriber to register via a web based portal or through an SMS. Everyday he will receive 4 news headlines. Along with that he will also receive an unsolicited commercial, which I assume would cover the cost of this service for AIR.
